The PREVENT Dementia team will once again take to the road this September, visiting a number of small community venues to host a series of informative public discussions around brain health, living well with dementia and the latest research developments. This summer we are taking the message to the islands of Scotland with events on Arran, Mull and Skye.
We are delighted to be teaming up with the NHS Research Neuroprogressive and Dementia Network and national dementia charity Playlist for Life to host Understanding Dementia: Prevention, Playlists and Progress
The aim of our tour is to reach seldom served populations who may not always be best served by the large academic hubs in Scotland, and to bring informative discussions on brain health to these communities.
Hear from:
Prof Craig Ritchie, Professor of the Psychiatry of Ageing & Director of Edinburgh Dementia Prevention
Andy Lowndes, Deputy Chair, Playlist for Life Charity
Dr Tom Russ, Director of the Alzheimer’s Scotland Research Centre at the University of Edinburgh
Dr Graciela Muniz-Terrera, Senior Lecturer in Biostatistics and Epidemiology at Edinburgh Dementia Prevention
Dr Emma Law, Network Manager for NHS Research Scotland Neuroprogressive and Dementia Network
We position our events as welcoming, informal, open discussions. Our speakers and researchers will all be available to answer any questions you may have, and to explain how you can get involved in dementia prevention research.
These FREE events are open to all. For more information and to reserve your space visit our event specific pages:
